“One of the best aspects for me in visiting VSC is the ability to see artists and their work in the best possible environment, the studio. It always seems as though I learn more from the residents and their work that I can say. It is a great privilege to be admitted into someone’s identity.
I’ve been exceedingly fortunate to be invited many times to VSC as a visiting Artist. I think the first time was in 1994. I also count myself privileged in that the staff at VSC are among my closest, most respected friends. These are artists I look to as role models of how artists should act.”
