"The greatest gift you can give an artist is time in the studio to explore his/her imagination.
The Gihon River Collective has created its own simple but effective initiative embodying artists supporting artists. They are offering an opportunity for a peer to have this time through money raised from the sales of Small Works that they have each donated. Away from daily distractions artists and writers can work on their aesthetic and political concerns and take the next step to a broadening global artistic practice. All of the exhibitors of COPYO9O9 have had that experience as offered by a residency at the Vermont Studio Center, USA.
Now they want to give someone else that time. I hope you will join me in supporting their cause."
Each Small Work is a maximum size of 6 x 6 inch or 6 x 6 x 6 inch dimensions
To purchase one or more of our 42 donated artworks @ a set price of £175,

These are small representations of Exhibitors’ work in their own right; rather than maquettes, sketches or drafts.
Small Works Fundraiser will be introduced at Launch Party and continue through Additional Events [see ‘Our Events’ tab in top bar]
· This is a key component to our COPY0909 Exhibition
· It is innovative in terms of artists/writers funding another artist/writer. Group funding for an individual.
· It is consistent with our Aims to share our experiences and benefits of an international residency at VSC by enabling another Artist / Writer to experience VSC
· Achievable as the fixed price is ‘affordable’. Several events to promote these sales.
· Vermont Studio Center will determine the UK Artist/Writer recipient of the funds to attend VSC.
Our aim is to sell ALL of the Small Works
These Small Works will be displayed as their own group so that they can be mobile to take to all venues.
