Does an Artist/Writer Residency provide tangible access to mentors, technical expertise, a social-network community and support. Is access to opportunities important and/or crucial to an artist’s or writer’s (career) development? Explore the value of international artist/writer-in-residency programmes and artist/writer residencies as a context to social and cultural inter-change or just as a recharging withdrawal from everyday life.
Free drop-in Family Workshop facilitated by Julie Beech www.art-education.org.uk
Two workshops will run side-by-side that encourage a ‘shared experience’: Make a small egg sculpture to give and receive one too! Make a large sculpture together that will go on display for the duration of the COPYO9O9 exhibition. Accompanying adult attendance required.
